CBM Ireland is an international development organisation committed to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in the poorest countries of the world. We have a vacancy for the position of Partnerships Manager to work with our fundraising team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, manage and monitor CBM Ireland’s partnerships strategy and activities including corporates and major donors
  • Identify, research and cultivate potential supporters
  • Lead on community fundraising and CBM fundraising events
  • Raise the income required to achieve the agreed targets in a cost effective and sustainable manner
  • Develop and manage key relationships with potential and current supporters
  • Develop and monitor annual budgets, devising and implementing adjustments to both as necessary to achieve targets
  • Input into development and delivery of our digital and social media strategy
  • Working closely with the CEO, Fundraising and Programme Teams, develop quality funding proposals and timely donor reports
  • Ensure all activities comply with CBM’s policies and procedures, relevant professional codes of conduct and standards, regulation and legislation governing charity activities
  • As part of CBM Ireland’s Senior Management Team (SMT), contribute to CBM Ireland’s strategic development
  • Coordinate with CBM International and Member Associations to maximise resources and share ideas, information and learnings


Person Specification

  • Educated to Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline
  • At least four years’ solid, demonstrable experience and successful track record at senior level in fundraising or relevant discipline
  • Proven experience of managing relationships at senior corporate level
  • Event management experience
  • Computer literate with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative, manage income target and deliver results
  • Strong time management and administration skills
  • A keen interest in overseas development and understanding of the not for profit sector as well as fundraising principles
