Description

The Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) is Ireland’s leading non-governmental organisation campaigning for the rights of everyone in prison and the progressive reform of Irish penal policy, with prison used only as a last resort. IPRT is committed to reducing imprisonment and the progressive reform of the penal system based on evidence-led policies. IPRT works to achieve these goals through research, awareness raising, building alliances and growing the organisation.

IPRT now wishes to recruit an Executive Director to build on the organisation’s achievements, and to lead the organisation in its next period of development.

IPRT is recruiting an Executive Director who will be responsible for the leadership, management and direction of IPRT within the context of the IPRT Strategic Plan 2017-2021. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall performance of the organisation in delivering on the strategic objectives, and for the day-to-day operation of the business under the delegated authority of the Board of Directors.

We are seeking a dynamic leader with ability to inspire and convey IPRT’s mission and vision to a wide range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with good understanding of public policy development and will have the capacity to serve as national spokesperson as well as demonstrating a commitment to social justice, human rights and IPRT’s vision, mission and values.
