Background Information:

Barretstown offers free, specially designed residential and outreach programmes for children living with a serious illness and their families. Being sick can put a child’s life on hold - at Barretstown, we look after the physical and emotional well-being of the child by creating a carefree, safe, medically supported environment where they can make new friends, share experiences, and continue their treatment if they need to.

Our programmes are designed to respond directly to the needs of a child living with a serious illness – both clinical and psychological. Our Therapeutic Recreation model is recognised by paediatricians and psychologists all over the world as having a profound and positive impact and it is considered a necessary component of a child’s treatment.

The Role:

Barretstown now wishes to recruit a Corporate Fundraising Manager to join its passionate team.

This is a great opportunity to join one of Ireland’s leading charities and have a real impact on the lives of sick children and their families. This is a senior role on the fundraising team and the successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Development. You will be responsible for supervising and motivating your team, managing key corporate accounts and developing and leading a comprehensive corporate fundraising strategy.

To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate experience in meeting fundraising or sales targets as well as a proven ability to manage a fundraising budget. You will have experience of creating effective donor engagement and development strategies, as well as experience of developing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. You will thrive in a busy, target-driven environment and be comfortable preparing and delivering new business pitches and working on cross organisational activities.

If you are a confident communicator with a proven track record in new business development and excellent networking and relationship management skills, we would love to hear from you!
