Job specific: Permanent role with a requirement to travel to Roscommon & around Ireland on a regular basis.

Overall Purpose of Job:

As a key member of the new Commercial Development Directorate the Sales & Marketing Executive will help to develop and deliver a sales and marketing operational plan for the Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA). The initial focus of the role will be to drive income and bed nights at IWA’s Holiday Centre Cuisle; with success in this task, the role will expand to include other commercial opportunities within IWA. This is a highly target focused role requiring excellent sales and relationship skills, lots of energy and an ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

Cuisle Sales & Marketing

  • To drive sales of bed nights in Cuisle Respite & Holiday Centre (Roscommon) to deliver > 90% capacity in each year
  • To increase the number of sales enquiries to Cuisle from marketing activity including digital and face to face marketing
  • To build strong working relationship with Cuisle management and staff to ensure commitment to the sales & marketing plan and to understand opportunities and barriers to achieving capacity
  • To drive awareness & understanding of the Cuisle “offering” among respite and holiday decision makers & influencers within IWA, within the disability sector, within the HSE and in the wider public
  • To build strong face to face working relations with potential and existing guest groups to ensure repeat business utilizing existing CRM system

IWA Sales & Marketing

  • To help develop and deliver sales & marketing plans for IWA Commercial Directorate
  • To develop sales and marketing metrics for Cuisle and other IWA operations and to deliver on those agreed KPI’s
  • To report monthly to the Commercial Director on new business and sales leads developed.
  • To liaise with the Communications Department in the development of PR & Communications needs
  • To help identify commercial opportunities for IWA across the breadth of our operations

Liaison

The Sales & Marketing Manager will be required to liaise daily with Cuisle Management. In addition the role will require regular liaison with the Communications Department, Community Support Directorate Service Co-ordinators and managers, Assisted Living Service Co-ordinators and managers, Retail Supervisors and the Transport Department with regular updating of the Commercial Director

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and roll out of a best-in-class marketing and sales plan for Cuisle (& IWA) in conjunction with Cuisle Management and the Commercial Director which will achieve aggressive sales targets
  • Responsible for building excellent internal stakeholder relationships with Cuisle management, Commercial Directorate and the wider IWA management structure
  • Responsible for building on the excellent existing and potential sales relationships within the disability sector and the HSE
  • Assist the Commercial Director with other sales & marketing objectives as required

Person Specification:

Training, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 3 years sales and/or marketing experience
  • Candidates with sales & marketing experience in the hospitality sector would have a distinct advantage
  • A marketing and/or business degree
  • Face to face / business to business sales experience
  • Digital marketing experience would be an advantage

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent sales skills and experience
  • Excellent relationship builder
  • Excellent communicator
  • Understanding of hospitality/residential care marketing
  • Understanding of respite market would be an advantage
  • Understanding of the disability sector
  • Full driving licence required

  • Salary on commencement will be in the range €35-45k depending on experience
